Share local traditions and daily activities with the inhabitants of the Patacancha community, a small village located north of Cusco in the middle of the Andes mountains.
We will head to the Sacred Inca Valley in private transport driving along amazing Andean landscapes before reaching Ollantaytambo village.
On our way we will pass by Pumahuanca and Willoc communities before arriving in Patacancha community (3800m.).
You will prepare with your family a lunch made of typical regional food such as: potatoes, chuño, corn, moraya.
On the afternoon, you will visit the community and learn about medicinal herbs and their ethno botanic use. Overnight home stay.
Breakfast with your family, and then we will manufacture ewe and alpaca wool bracelets.
Walk in agricultural fields and explications about potatoes farming at 4000m height.
Yu will prepare cooked meats to take away with you for our trek towards Ipsay cocha lagoon. There you will find various small traditional villages typical of the region.
Culinary exchange: you will buy food at Ollantaytambo’s market to prepare a homemade meal from your country of origin.
Breakfast with your family. We will go on a 5h hike until Ollantaytambo village. We will pass by Willoc community. There we will visit the weave exhibition centre and exchange with the inhabitants.
Then we will take a small Inca path to reach Pumamarca archaeological site.
On the afternoon, we will head back to Cusco.
