  • Travel for 18 days in the heart of the Inca Empire!

    Along the deserted west coast, from the marine biodiversity of the “Ballestas Islands” to Huacachina oasis, you will be surprised by the natural wealth of the region.

    Fly above mysterious Nasca lines before reaching the “white city” of Arequipa. Explore Colca’s Canyon, navigate on Titicaca Lake, meet the inhabitants of Taquile and Amantani islands and share their culture and traditions.


    Travel through the Andes and the Sacred Valley until arriving in Cusco, heart of the Inca Empire. You will have the opportunity to visit various archaeological sites and above all you will climb up the Machu Picchu. In every region, Lima, Arequipa, Puno y Cuzco, you will live a unique experience with the local communities, the craftsmen and the inhabitants who will share with you its cultural traditions and its daily life.

  •  Day 1 – Arrival In Lima

    Arrival in Lima. Reception at the airport. Transfer to your hotel in the city centre.

     Day 2 – Lima

    After the breakfast, you will visit the modern Lima areas like Miraflores, Larcomar and Barranco.
    Then the visit goes on with the colonial part of Lima, through San Martin Square, the Government Palace, the « plaza de armas », the great Cathedral of Lima and the Catacombs of San Francisco.
    In the afternoon, visit the craft workshops located in the “pueblos jovenes”, where visitors could participate or simply observe the craft process, especially of the ceramic. Return to your hotel.

     Day 3 – Lima – Paracas

    After the breakfast, you will visit the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
    In the afternoon, travel by bus to the city of Paracas (abt. 4 hours). In the way we will pass through towns like Cañete and Chincha to reach Paracas. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

     Day 4 – Paracas – Iles Ballestas – Ica – Nazca

    After the breakfast, excursion to the Ballestas Islands by speedboat, where in an amazing landscape you will be able to see the enigmatic “Candelabro” figure and discover a large marine fauna like wolves’ sea, birds, guaneras, Humboldt penguins, etc.
    Afterwards, you will head to Ica and have a short visit of the beautiful oasis of Huacachina.
    Optional Activity: Fascinating excursion in vehicles 4×4 in the desert of Huacachina
    In the late afternoon, let’s go towards Nazca (157km). Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

     Day 5 – Nazca – Arequipa

    In the morning, fly over geometric Nazca lines and visit the pre-Inca cemetery of Chauchilla.
    In the afternoon, the trip goes on by sleeper bus towards Arequipa (572 km), on the road we will pass through endless deserts and by important sites like Marcona, Yauca, Chala, Ocoña, Camana valley. Arrival in Arequipa and transfer to the hotel.

     Day 6 – Arequipa

    After the breakfast, city tour of Arequipa: visit of Yanahuara watchtowers and Rinconada Alta, the « Plaza de Armas », the church of the Compañía and its cloister, the traditional market of San Camilo, the famous convent of Santa Catalina, and the museum Mummy Juanita “Lady of Ampato” or “Lady Ice”.
    Late afternoon, free time.

     Day 7 – Arequipa “Culinary Adventure”

    After the breakfast, we will begin organizing the gastronomic adventure with the purchase of traditional Peruvian products in San Camilo Market. Once the shopping finished, we will head to our facilities and receive a brief presentation of the Peruvian cuisine.
    We will begin with the preparation of traditional dishes with the help of a chef. We will prepare traditional dishes of Peru such as ceviche (marinated fish with lemon), causa rellena, lomo saltado and rocoto relleno, all accompanied by the inevitable Pisco Sour.
    Once the preparation is over, we can happily enjoy our lunch. Afternoon: free time.

     Day 8 – Arequipa / Colca’s Canyon

    You will go by private vehicle to Colca’s Canyon (165 km). During the trip, you will have the opportunity to observe the beautiful flora and fauna, the Misti volcano, and snowy mountains.
    Subsequently, we will continue escalating the Patapampa at an altitude of 4900 meters from where you will have a view on various volcanoes in the central Andes. Then we will have lunch in the village of Chivay.
    After lunch, we will drive to the charming village of Canocota (30min from Chivay). Arrival and accommodation in a family home. Night at the host.

     Day 9 – Colca’s Canyon – Chivay – Puno

    After breakfast, early departure by private vehicle to the Cruz del Condor where you are almost guaranteed to see condors flying over the majestic Andes.
    On the wayback from Cruz de Condor by the south side of the Colca Valley, you will visit the villages of Maca and Yanque.
    In the afternoon, journey by private vehicle to the city of Puno (355km). We will cross the Andean highlands and, along the way, you could admire the fauna specific to the Andes: alpacas, llamas, and small lagoons.
    In the late afternoon arrival in Puno and transfer to the hotel.

     Day 10 – Puno – Uros Islands – Amantani

    Boat trip on Titicaca Lake. Stop at the Uros islands where we will discover the daily life and customs of the people. Here travellers can participate or simply observe the harvest of totoras.
    You will continue on boat towards the enchanting island of Amantani. Arrival and accommodation in a family house.
    In the afternoon, you will climb up to the Pachatata temple to enjoy a view of Peru and Bolivia, along with a beautiful sunset. Overnight homestay at Amantani.

     Day 11 – Amantani – Taquile – Puno

    After breakfast, you will continue your journey by boat to Taquile Island. This island is characterized by the generosity of its people who maintain ancestral customs.
    To reach the top of the island, you will take a slightly inclined path (50min) which offers a spectacular view of the lake. We will also visit the main square and observe the impressive works of hand-made weaving with various colours.
    In the afternoon, return to Puno and transfer to the hotel.

     Day 12 – Puno – Cusco

    Travel by tourist bus through the Altiplano and the Vilcanota Valley to Cuzco. On the road, we will briefly stop at La Raya Pass (4,300 m), and then you will visit Raqchi Inca temple, the church of Andahuaylillas. All entrance fees mentioned above are optional.
    Arrival in Cusco in the late afternoon and transfer to hotel.

     Day 13 – Cusco

    After breakfast, visit of Tambomachay known as Tambo Cave. Visit of the ruins of Kenko carved by Incas. You will discover Puka Pukará ruins and finally you will visit the Sacsayhuaman fortress with its impressive Inca constructions.
    Then we will discover Cusco with its Plaza de Armas, one of the most beautiful in Latin America; the beautiful Cathedral, the magnificent temple of Koricancha considered as the most sacred and most impressive built by the Incas.
    In the late afternoon free time.

     Day 14 – Cusco – Pisac – Ollantaytambo

    In the morning, you will visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the road, we will stop at a small exhibition centre Awanakancha which gives a great panorama of the beauty of the Peruvian Andes.
    Right after, we will continue with the charming village of Pisac and its ruins. After lunch, we will go on with the visit of the fortress of Ollantaytambo, impressive Inca building which used to be a strategic military, religious and agricultural centre.
    We will return to Ollantaytambo, free time and overnight at the hotel in the Sacred Valley.

     Day 15 – Ollantaytambo – Community of Patacancha – Aguas Calientes

    After breakfast, we will travel by private vehicle to the community of Patacancha. Then we will continue with a visit of recognition, where you will enjoy the fields of culture and you will be able to participate in the local activities.
    At noon we will have a traditionnal meal with the family. Then we will go visiting the production facilities of Alpaca wool.
    Finally, in the afternoon we will return to Ollantaytambo, and then we will take the train to Aguas Calientes, down Machu Picchu.  Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

     Day 16 – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo

    Early in the morning, you will head up to the Machu Picchu. Discover the most famous landmark of the Incas, with its terraced fields, the artificial canal system for irrigation, palaces, squares, temples, caves, attics, etc. prisons.
    Following the tour you will have free time to walk around the citadel, the sun temple and the hill Intihuatana.
    Optional Activity: Possibility to climb Huayna Picchu by a small stone path.
    In the course of the afternoon, transfer to the station for the train back to Ollantaytambo. Arrival and transfer to hotel.

     Day 17 – Ollantaytambo – Maras – Chinchero – Cusco

    After breakfast, we will visit the « Salinas de Maras » where its inhabitants realize the whole process of extracting natural salt.
    You will discover the circular terraces of Moray, which is an experimental complex of the Incas, and finally visit the Inca site of Chinchero.
    In the afternoon arrival in the city of Cusco and transfer to hotel, free time.

     Day 18 – Cusco – Lima – Departure

    Transfer to airport and flight to Lima. Then we continue with the visit of Larco museum.
    In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your international flight connection.
