    Walk on the Inca way by crossing the Andes of the South of Peru.
    Discover Peru through an attractive adventure by traversing the villages of the Andes cordillera. During the way you will be able to observe a great geographical diversity of the landscapes, populations, climates, plants, and animals.

    You will cross mountains, rivers, valleys, lagoons which will fill with wonder you. You will pass by various Andean villages and from the pretty landscapes of the Andes cordillera with its inhabitants with Ayacucho, Andahuaylas and Abancay.

    You will visit the “navel of the world” INCA and famous Machu Picchu. You will continue the travel until Puno and the lake Titicaca where you will surf between the islands with the meeting of the inhabitants and their traditions. You will finish finally your tour by exploring celebrates it Canyon of Colca and visiting the white city ; Arequipa.

     

  •  DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN LIMA

    Arrival in Lima. Reception at the airport. Transfer to your hotel in the city centre.

     DAY 2 – LIMA

    After the breakfast, you will visit the modern Lima areas like Miraflores, Larcomar and Barranco.
    Then the visit goes on with the colonial part of Lima, through San Martin Square, the Government Palace, the « plaza de armas », the great Cathedral of Lima and the Catacombs of San Francisco.
    In the afternoon, we will continue with the visit of Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. Return to the hotel for the night.

     DAY 3 – LIMA – AYACUCHO

    Journey in private care towards Ayacucho (9h), on the way, we will pass by the Andean valley, where we will observe mountains and different types of birds
    In the late afternoon, we will come back to Ayacucho. Transfer to the hotel.

     DAY 4 – AYACUCHO – WARI / QUINUA – AYACUCHO

    After the breakfast, direction Wari to visit its Archaeological Complex. There, we will visit the Museum, the Major Temple and the other sites of the complex.
    Afterwards, we will visit the small Andean village of Quinua where crafts and the agriculture are the main activities.
    We will then visit the historical Pampa Sanctuary in Ayacucho where took place Ayacucho Battle on December 9, 1824 and represents the end of colonization in Peru.
    In the afternoon, we will visit the Archaeological Museum and Acuchimay Mirador from where we will have a stunning view on Huamanga city. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel and free time.

     DAY 5 – AYACUCHO – ANDAHUAYLAS

    Journey by private car (10h) towards Andahuaylas, we will pass by different typical Andean villages. We will arrive in front of the Pampas River which green water winds between white sand beaches and fruit wild forests.
    From this point, we will start a new route where you will see pretty small Andean villages such as Chinchero, Uripa, Nueva Esperanza and Talavera. In the late afternoon, we will come back to Andahuaylas. Transfer to the hotel.

     DAY 6 – ANDAHUAYLAS

    A full day discovering Andahuaylas region, its natural and cultural attractions. We will start our day by visiting the archaeological center of Wari de Sondor.
    Then, from Sondor, we will hike 1h to visit Pacucha lagoon (3200m) which main characteristic is the beauty of its intense blue water.
    In the late afternoon, come back in the city and free time.

     DAY 7 – ANDAHUAYLAS – ABANCAY – CUZCO

    In the morning, departure in private car towards Cusco (10h). On our way, we will see amazing Andean landscapes and small typical villages.
    We will pass by Abancay and different Andean villages and finally arrive in the imperial city of Cusco. Transfer to the hotel.

     DAY 8 – CUZCO

    After breakfast, visit of Tambomachay known as Tambo Cave. Visit of the ruins of Kenko carved by Incas. You will discover Puka Pukará ruins and finally you will visit the Sacsayhuaman fortress with its impressive Inca constructions.
    Then we will discover Cusco with its Plaza de Armas, one of the most beautiful in Latin America; the beautiful Cathedral, the magnificent temple of Koricancha considered as the most sacred and most impressive built by the Incas. In the late afternoon free time.

     DAY 9 – CUZCO – PISAC – OLLANTAYTAMBO

    In the morning, you will visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the road, we will stop at a small exhibition centre Awanakancha which gives a great panorama of the beauty of the Peruvian Andes
    Right after, we will continue with the charming village of Pisac and its ruins. After lunch, we will go on with the visit of the fortress of Ollantaytambo, impressive Inca building which used to be a strategic military, religious and agricultural centre.
    We will return to Ollantaytambo, free time and overnight at the hotel in the Sacred Valley.

    DAY 10 – OLLANTAYTAMBO – COMMUNITY OF PATACANCHA – AGUAS CALIENTES

    After breakfast, we will travel by private vehicle to the community of Patacancha. Then we will continue with a visit of recognition, where you will enjoy the fields of culture and you will be able to participate in the local activities.
    At noon we will have a traditionnal meal with the family. Then we will go visiting the production facilities of Alpaca wool.
    Finally, in the afternoon we will return to Ollantaytambo, and then we will take the train to Aguas Calientes, down Machu Picchu. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

     DAY 11 – AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO

    Early in the morning, you will head up to the Machu Picchu. Discover the most famous landmark of the Incas, with its terraced fields, the artificial canal system for irrigation, palaces, squares, temples, caves, attics, etc. prisons.

    Following the tour you will have free time to walk around the citadel, the sun temple and the hill Intihuatana.
    Optional Activity: Possibility to climb Huayna Picchu by a small stone path.
    In the course of the afternoon, transfer to the station for the train back to Ollantaytambo. Arrival and transfer to hotel.

     DAY 12 – OLLANTAYTAMBO – MARAS – CHINCHERO – CUZCO

    After breakfast, we will visit the « Salinas de Maras » where its inhabitants realize the whole process of extracting natural salt.
    You will discover the circular terraces of Moray, which is an experimental complex of the Incas, and finally visit the Inca site of Chinchero.
    In the afternoon arrival in the city of Cusco and transfer to hotel, free time.

     DAY 13 – CUZCO – PUNO

    Travel by tourist bus through the Altiplano and the Vilcanota Valley to Cuzco. On the road, we will briefly stop at La Raya Pass (4,300 m), and then you will visit Raqchi Inca temple, the church of Andahuaylillas. All entrance fees mentioned above are optional.

    Arrival in Puno in the late afternoon and transfer to hotel.

     DAY 14 – PUNO – UROS ISLANDS – AMANTANI

    Boat trip on Titicaca Lake. Stop at the Uros islands where we will discover the daily life and customs of the people. Here travellers can participate or simply observe the harvest of totoras

    You will continue on boat towards the enchanting island of Amantani. Arrival and accommodation in a family house.

    In the afternoon, you will climb up to the Pachatata temple to enjoy a view of Peru and Bolivia, along with a beautiful sunset. Overnight homestay at Amantani.

     DAY 15 – AMANTANI – TAQUILE – PUNO

    After breakfast, you will continue your journey by boat to Taquile Island. This island is characterized by the generosity of its people who maintain ancestral customs

    To reach the top of the island, you will take a slightly inclined path (50min) which offers a spectacular view of the lake. We will also visit the main square and observe the impressive works of hand-made weaving with various colours.

    In the afternoon, return to Puno and transfer to the hotel.

     DAY 16 – PUNO – CANYON DU COLCA – CANOCOTA

    You will go by private vehicle to Colca’s Canyon (165 km). During the trip, you will have the opportunity to observe the beautiful flora and fauna, lacs and mountains on the road.
    Subsequently, we will continue escalating the Patapampa (4900 meters) from where you will have a view on various volcanoes in the central Andes. Then we will have lunch in the village of Chivay.
    Optional activity: relaxing in Chivay’s thermal baths
    After lunch, we will drive to the charming village of Canocota (30min from Chivay). Arrival and accommodation in a family home. Night at the host.

     DAY 17 – CANOCOTA – CANYON DU COLCA – AREQUIPA

    After breakfast, early departure by private vehicle to the Cruz del Condor where you are almost guaranteed to see condors flying over the majestic Andes. On the wayback from Cruz de Condor by the south side of the Colca Valley, you will visit the villages of Maca and Yanque.
    In the afternoon, travel by private vehicle to the city of Arequipa. During the trip, you will enjoy exceptional sceneries like the reserve of Aguada Blanca where you will have the opportunity to observe the beautiful flora and fauna, the Misti volcano, snowy mountains and herds of llamas, alpacas and vicuña.
    In the late afternoon arrival in Arequipa and transfer to the hotel.

     DAY 18 – AREQUIPA

    After the breakfast, city tour of Arequipa: visit of Yanahuara watchtowers and Rinconada Alta, the « Plaza de Armas », the church of the Compañía and its cloister, the traditional market of San Camilo, the famous convent of Santa Catalina, and the museum Mummy Juanita “Lady of Ampato” or “Lady Ice”.
    Late afternoon, free time.

     DAY 19 – AREQUIPA – LIMA

    In the morning, return to Lima and visit of the craft workshops located in the “pueblos jovenes”, where you will participate or simply observe the craft process, especially of the ceramic.
    In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your international flight connection.
