You already know the Pachamama state of mind, advocated for almost ten years; our goal is to offer an caring , responsible, community experience, the natural, historical and cultural treasures discovery of the Andean countries . And through meetings with local people for real time trading . Pachamama is proud to announce its recent partnership with the NGO Peruvian Franco Latitud Sur, located in Iquitos and specializes in Community Development of the Peruvian Amazon .
is cooperation involves two distinct phases:
– Pachamama now offers Selva Viva cruises in its offer. solidarity Travel on the Peruvian Amazon departure from Iquitos , which aims to discover flora and fauna of the Amazon and organizing meetings with indigenous people of the region .
– In a second part we are working on a large reforestation project of deforested areas in Amazonia, with funding for tree planting at the same level as the CO2 emissions from each participant traveling with Pachamama .
About 3 tons of CO2 are emitted on average for each Pachamama trip , requiring planting 5 trees to offset these emissions. Pachamama goes further by planting 5 trees for each traveler in order to have a positive impact on the environment.
These tree plantings will be added to the project already launched by Latitud Sur, which will see the planting of 30 000 trees by the end of the year in the community of Fray Martin de Porres along the Nanay River.
Already more than 10,000 trees were planted in the writing of these lines .
Participating in a journey of Pachamama is not only offsetting CO2 , but participating in the reforestation of the ” Lungs of the planet . ”
The purpose of an environmental citizen is to conduct a fair return to nature, which will give it back during his travels.
